RTR Analyst

Key accountabilities:

  • Achieves accounting operational objectives to provide accurate and reliable accounting information for:-
    • Bank reconciliations and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
    • General ledger journals for input into SAP.
    • General administration and month end tasks as required.
    • Reconciliation of Control Accounts, Provision and Prepayments.
    • Fixed Assets Register reconciliation to general ledger, Fixed Assets addition, depreciation run and fixed assets adjustment journals.
    • Intercompany reconciliations.
  • Support RTR Manager to ensure a clean and timely year end audit and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Complete general administration and month end tasks as required.
  • Monitor R2R workflow mailboxes to ensure all request are responded on timely basis.
  • Develop understanding of cash transactions and reporting across the business to enable improved reporting and accurate reconciliations with no long outstanding items.
  • Provide assistance to Senior Treasury Manager/Director & Business Controllers on cash flow reporting.
  • Identify, recommend and develop solutions in consultation with line manager for continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of effective financial systems and processes by providing ongoing development of financial processes as the company expands and changes.
  • Support successful implementation of new systems and processes which relate to the Record to Report function.
  • Contribute to knowledge database of work problems encountered and steps for resolution to facilitate continuous learning, development and cross sharing of knowledge throughout accounts payable team.
  • Work with the team members to share best practices.
  • Handling and preparing journal entries and to prepare analysis for balance sheet items at month end, to ensure major accruals and provisions are properly accounted for on a timely basis.
  • Ensure variances in reconciliations are minimized, such as bank reconciliation, intercompany reconciliation and other accruals reconciliation schedule.
  • Ensure that accounting entries are posted in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Assist RTR Manager in liaising with External Auditors, Tax Agents and corporate advisors.
  • Regularly communicate with line manager to understand their requirements and schedule work to meet requirements of the region.
  • Build relationships with internal and external clients by ensuring Banking and Treasury administration procedures are processed accurately and in a timely manner with adherence to internal policies and applicable tax legislation. Also, ensure General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Banking and Treasury enquiries are responded to and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Collaborates with other finance departments to support overall department goals and objectives.
  • Answer queries and support line manager in providing advice to the finance team regarding transactions posted in SAP & BPC.
  • Update General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Banking and Treasury process documentation.
  • Responsible to comply with the Group’s and Company’s EHS policies, procedures, management programs and work instructions.
  • Undertake any other tasks as and when assigned.

Essential Skills:

  • Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or equivalent qualification (ACCA/CPA etc.). Those pursuing a Professional Accounting qualification would be an asset.
  • At least 4 – 6 years’ experience in an accounting role, preferably in an international finance shared service company environment.
  • Well-versed with SAP.
  • Meticulous, detail oriented and able to multi-task and manage deadlines.
  • Demonstrates understanding of local taxation requirements.
  • Diplomatic, with the ability to resolve problems, build relationships, and communicate with internal and external customers in a professional manner.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Good accounting skills and problem-solving skills
