Marketing Head (Insurance Industry)

Key accountabilities:

  • Establishes sales proposition, initiative, or marketing strategy with the direction from partnership distribution channel
  • Oversees current offerings and comes up with initiatives for new products or services
  • Researches and analyses market trends, demographics, pricing schedules, competitor products analysis, and other relevant information to form marketing strategies
  • Works closely with internal Sales Management team, Product Development, Actuarial, and Marketing teams to develop suitable product & marketing solutions, propositions, and initiatives for the channel and deliver quality launch.
  • Screen through and oversees the creative development of promotional materials, website content, advertisements, and other marketing-related projects both internal and external.
  • Communicates with various vendors, advertising agencies, printers, and other services to help marketing projects come to fruition
  • Provides in-depth information to interested clients, and acts as a representative for the marketing department in important partnership meetings
  • Works within the department budget to develop cost-effective marketing plans for each product or service
  • Tracks all marketing and sales data and creates detailed written reports and verbal presentations to bring to senior executives
  • Adjust marketing campaigns and strategies as needed in response to collected data and other feedback
  • Provide technical advice that results in improving business and enabling customers to solve a problem
  • Carry out tasks, such as the preparation of customer and distributor reports, to support the implementation of projects to time and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain positive partnership relationships by meeting regularly with partners when no specific initiative is underway.
  • Anticipate customer needs, monitor trends in order to identify and recommend changes to business processes, customer service or products.
  • Provide specialist advisory support to internal clients, by being a focal point of contact for resolving technical issues within function or unit, to ensure that there is no misalignment between policy and practice.

  • To ensure achievement of annual sales target.
  • Lead a team develop new products and services that are in line with company’s vision and missions To ensure the product that the company supply is of high quality
  • To ensure our sales channel are equipped with product knowledge it’s benefit and usage

  • To plan and get all the approval on the R&D plan and R&D timeline
  • To study research for new product and get approval for new product and natural products
  • To manage product development and get the approval for each of the natural product formulation
  • To manage research on product and approved product improvement
  • To manage research & development (Service) Manage Planning and Approved R&D Plan and Timeline
  • Manage Research for new services and approved new services
  • Manage service development and approved services
  • Manage research on services approved service improvement

Essential Skills:

  • Degree in any discipline preferably in finance / marketing / business administration; Insurance qualification will be an added advantage
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in financial institution; preferably with experience in life insurance industry, product development and marketing proposition development.
  • Strong Business Acumen
  • Sales and Marketing Management
  • Digital marketing and/or brand & communication relevant experience added advantage Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Marketing strategies formation; Insurance; Database Handling; Consumer Behaviours
  • Exposure and or experience in digital marketing is of fundamental importance
