Vessel Alliance Settlement

Key accountabilities:

  • Support to Global Network & Alliance Department
  • Manage all Alliance Structural and Ad Hoc Settlement covering all Trades.
  • Settlement includes the following:
    • Structural Slots Settlement
    • Excess Slots Settlement
    • Reefer Plugs and DG Surcharge Settlement
    • Joint Ship Cost Sharing Settlement
    • Void Sailing Settlement
    • Non-Standard Cost Sharing, e.g. Speed up cost, Military Premium
  • Coordinating with Finance on progress of Settlement:
    • Status of Settlement
    • Making Accruals for outstanding settlement
    • Instruction to Finance on Agreed Settlement – invoicing or receipt
  • Support the Alliance regular accrual preparation and reporting
  • Finalize and conclude all outstanding issues that is holding up the settlement process
  • Requirement to submit accurate cost accrual for Alliance budget
  • Coordinating with Finance on Settlement status, including instruction to process payment or receipt
  • Follow-up on long outstanding aging report.
  • Advise PO creation for all Alliance related invoices & follow up for PO approval in timely basis.

Essential Skills:

  • Degree in Business Management or other related field
  • 3 to 4 years relevant working experience. 3 to 4 years relevant working experience.
  • Experience in dealing with Marine Operations will be an added advantage.
  • Computer literate and competent in Microsoft Office, e.g. MS Excel. SAP
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) in order to deal effectively with both internal and external parties.
  • Dedicated, strong attention to details with strong analytical skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure
