Head, Sales & Marketing

Key accountabilities:

  • Responsible for revenue generation across products and regions and ensure yields across products through Key Account Managers
  • Ensure quality of distributor activities and Key Account Managers worldwide
  • Responsible for interacting with local and overseas customer on commercial/pricing matters
  • Keep a tab on arithmetic calculations, pricing structures, gross margin and profitability
  • Responsible for Marketing & Sales by working along with Key Account Managers and distributors to achieve top line market share and achieve revenue and brand objectives
  • Prepare Business Plan on business design, structure, process and operating plan and financial model
  • Strategize and plan the sales process management, forecasting, pricing, key account management, expenses, profitability, new product development, market research and brand strategy
  • Periodically review distributor performance through Key Account Managers and check on gaps in performance and seek reasons and actionable steps to close the gaps
  • Conduct effective and accurate market research and apply this information to increase market share
  • Conduct regular meeting with distributors and sales team to discuss target status, product training and sales strategy
  • Conduct customer or training seminars as per the requirement of regions
  • Monitor and analyse all marketing and sales reports received from regional office and also distributor feedback
  • Coordinate, prepare and launch new products for the assigned market(s) with cooperation of the respective key account managers and technical team in the respective countries
  • Ensure the confidentiality of the customer list, mailing lists and other sensitive company information.
  • Coordinate with administration, commercial and factory departments to ensure timely orders, and smooth function of action in the system.
  • Update management on business process, operating plan, financial model and profitability
  • Expand the relationships with existing customers by continuously proposing solutions that meet their objectives
  • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner
  • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams
  • Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints to maintain trust
  • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships
  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction ratings through customer survey
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements
  • Develop trust relationships with a portfolio of major clients to ensure they do not turn to competition

Essential Skills:

  • 10 years working experience in the food industry manufacturing or trading
  • International business exposure is an added advantage to the post
  • Vegetable oils and fats
  • Functional Food ingredients mainly from Emulsifier company
  • Proven experience as Head of Sales and Marketing
  • Experience in sales and providing solutions based on customer needs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
  • BSc/BA/MBA in business administration, sales or relevant field
